History

Tina Rogers was anything but your ordinary child, actually much the opposite even if she wasn't born supernatural by any means. She was simply just exceedingly smart. One of those kids who graduated from college when they had just turned sixteen. Not the only person in the country that had done that, but still there wasn't many who did.

Her parents were loving, caring average parents. Martha Rogers who married her high school sweet heart Bennett Rogers. The two had been married for five years when they had their first child Tina Rogers who would prove to be a most interesting child. Skipping to school to school at an unreasonable pace, because of how oddly smart she was. Both very proud of their 'special' Daughter and both very supportive as Tina entered college before she was emotionally ready for it.

However though her family was as supportive as parents could be they couldn't replace having friends or some place she could belong with people her age. Being as unusual as she was finding friends who would stay friends and not just to have an answer key with them was hard to find. So, Tina found acceptance where she could, in a group of teens as 'special' as she was. The fact that what they were so 'special' at wasn't necessarily legal really did not bother her. She promised herself that she would never get into illegal activities like they might do. Still if you're in the club, you're going to join in on the activities sooner or later.

It started out small, at age 16 Tina learned how to make her first explosive, small but when you're playing with something as serious as an explosive the consequences never seem small. The idea was that they were going to drop off this small explosive, that could be compared to a molotov cocktail, in a local dumpster just for fun really. Only what was just suppose to be fun and laughs turned out to be more of an addict in the end. The thrill of doing something that she shouldn't be doing was exciting, perhaps more then just exciting. The joke turned into something she wanted to do over and over again, build explosives and set them off in places relatively harmless to anyone. Small explosives of course put in dumpster, city dumps, anywhere that she was harming nothing important was where she would set them off in. Her first big screw up came when a piece of trash from the dump somehow got caught in the wind and set a whole field on fire. Of course the police found the explosive, but lucky for her she never got caught. Perhaps someone else took the heat for it, a known criminal maybe, who knows as long as she was going to get locked up she could hardly care, or at least that is she told herself.

After setting the field on fire Tina took a break from any sort of explosives at least a year. On her seventeen birthday, however, Tina went through her Imbuing. It went much like the normal vampire feed feast, only with al little twist. Tina went to the local bowling alley by herself, though she had told her parents that she was going to go with some friends. Tina had been trying to avoid her old friends since the fire, so once again she spent most of her time at home alone playing halo online. On arrival there Tina bowled a couple of games before taking a break to eat at the pizza place inside the bowling place. A young man happen to notice her eating alone and decided to join her. They seemed to hit it off, even though Tina was fairly quirky for a girl, still he seemed to take some interest in her. Interest that she never gotten from the opposite of sex so she figured she take part in it for once. They sat and talked for at least two hours before he offered to walk her to the bus stop since Tina had told her parents that she was going to get a ride home from a friend and not to worry about coming to pick her up. It was when he told her there was a short cut through the alleyway that would save them a good ten minutes of walking that she got a feeling that something was off. Still, not one to decide on feelings alone she followed the boy into the alleyway. Well, not really a boy, he was twenty, or so he said.

The next serious of events happened so fast that she wasn't even sure exactly what had happened. Stepping into the alleyway it was as if she had seen what was going to happen a few minutes later. Her getting pushed up against the wall, the boy suddenly having fangs of some short and being very forceful. Sure enough once they were far enough into the alleyway what she had just envisioned moments earlier was happening and it put her even more off guard. "Get away from me" triggered her ward. Sending the vampire a few yards back, and since he was a young vampire who had now run into his first hunter he was soon gone just as Tina was. Running home, unable to rationalize what had just happened moments ago.

Of course not too long afterwards she would get some help from other Hunters in the Necropolis area who would help her, or at least tell her what the hell was going on. Why people all of a sudden showed up as the walking dead. Why she would get these odd sensations, why sometimes when someone walked by they would smell of the grave. Being imbuing opened a whole different world to her. A world of war between 'Monsters' and the Hunters. She got the normal run down on vampires, they don't come out in the sun, and fire hurts them. Same as for group silver hurts them, the rest she would have to figure out on her own sometime. If they change on you, best bet for a young hunter is run your little ass off, but beware they run faster. If you don't have silver on you, try shooting a couple of rounds into them, maybe it will slow them down, maybe not. Its a gamble. Mages...who knows about them. As well as whatever else is out there..who really knows.

This new would of being a Hunter opened up another door, opened her back up to her addiction, making explosives. It let her use her explosives for the 'greater good' and her Hunter friends greatly appreciated her 'talents'. Only seventeen Tina joined her first Hunt with three other Hunters, they were hitting up a well known alley for vampires. The idea was to get in and come out. Tina and Julie had went to the site in the morning to set up the explosives, triggered by a detonator that only Tina had. That night the two returned to the alley along with Victor who was fairly experienced with vampires compared to the two girls. To Tina's frustration Victor got a little out of hand and lead the Vampires down deeper into the alleyway making her explosive pretty useless until he decided to play by the game plan. Even worse the two left Tina alone hiding by a dumpster waiting for the two to come back. A new Hunters worse nightmares decided to roam along the alley way that night too. Werewolves, shifted werewolves at that. Why? Who knows, perhaps they were there to kill vampires too, Tina had heard of supernatural wars. Who has the biggest balls sort of thing. Even so, one werewolf was a piece of work by itself, but two that was just ridiculous.

So, she did what she knew how to do, run like the wind or just run as fast as she could. But before she could even do that she noticed someone in the alleyway, someone who wasn't suppose to be there. Being a normal human as he was he went into the shock of seeing the werewolves. The fear and the "I'm going to piss my pants" now sort of mind set. Tina couldn't just leave him there to become werewolf snake food so she dashed out to grab the man by the back of the shirt and pulled him towards the open man hole that her and her Hunter partners for the night were suppose to be using when she set off the explosives. Pushing the man down the hole with no mercy spared she herself followed after setting off the explosives. Of course it gave the werewolves a scare having a fire light run under the asses. It probably didn't kill them, but the didn't go after the two. Tina, however, did pull the man off his ass and dragged him down the sewer system running like crazy just in case their K9 friends decided to follow. Thankfully they didn't because Tina didn't have anymore tricks up her sleeves at the moment, maybe a ward but she had a feeling that wouldn't help much against werewolves.

Just by chance the man Tina had rescued that night was JP Jordan who had retired for the military only a couple of years ago. Funny the man was specialized in the one thing that Tina loved to do, blow things up. He and his team had set up countless numbers of high damage explosives for training, and in real life situations. He was even specialized in something she was not, disarming them. Putting them together was easy, pulling them apart was just simply dangerous. When Tina had explained as much as she could to the man without setting him on an overload the fifty year old, who still had that old "Lets put a bullet up the bastards ass and see if he can shit then" attitude decided to take this girl in and show her more the fancy stuff. Tina would receive training from her new Mentor, as well as a place to stay once she had turned eighteen so that she didn't have to answer to people why she was out, or why she had walked in with mysterious blood on her and torn clothing. It made things a lot simpler and Tina had a steady living style even if she only worked at McDonalds, part time at that. Funny how a girl so smart found herself working at McDonalds, by choice really. Even if she was smarter then most people twice, or three times her age, she didn't want to be thrown into the living style of someone twice her age. She wanted to be a kid, frankly she wanted to blow things up and not have to worry about why she showed up late to work.

JP and Tina became best friends, Tina's only best friend who seemed to understand her better than anyone even if he himself wasn't a Hunter he provided things that most Hunters couldn't. Once Tina moved out of her old house her Parents decided to move out of Necropolis and into San Diego somewhere the two could get their 'love life' back together after raising a child successfully. Though Tina was sad to see her Parents go she was happy that they were getting some time to start that 'magic feeling' all over again. That and it gave her a little more freedom of her own in the city.

JP had a friend by the name of James Reynolds who was also an old ex criminal that had helped JP out with some tips on disarming a fairly new model of explosive. It saved JP's life and the old man wasn't likely to forget such a favor. James who knew JP's and Tina's relationship of Mentor and Student also offers Tina some help now and then though he is considerable less patient then JP. Still Tina considers him a valuable contact.

Becca Silvers an old college friend of Tina's, or really a girl that declared herself Tina's older sister in college and often helped the girl out when it came to getting rides home after an unexpected detour at night is one of Tina's close allies. The only alley she really keeps in contact with, all the other Hunters that Tina had worked with once or twice somehow end up disappearing, probably taking their business else where with someone they trust more. It must be slightly unnerving to have an eighteen year old girl putting together an explosive in front of you.

At this moment Tina is still living with her Mentor, still working a part time job at McDonalds, and besides that being lazy and blowing things up.
